Process Snap Shot:
You must complete a Petition (application), stating his name, age, place of residence, occupation and place of employment. Four Character References are also needed. Once the Petitioner turns in all paperwork and initiation fees, an Investigating Committee made up of three Lodge Members conduct an interview and vetting process. The Lodge Members then vote on the Petitioner from the recommendations made by the Investigating Committee. Vote by secret ballot is made. To be accepted the ballot must be unanimous.

What are the qualifications to become a Freemason?
Freemasonry is proud of its philosophy and practice of “making good men better.” Only individuals of the finest moral character are considered for membership. Every applicant must advocate his belief in the existence of a Supreme Being. In Maryland, a Candidate for Freemasonry must be 18 years of age or older.
